As we enter an exciting phase where we start to put 1st party data at the forefront of our operations we are looking to recruit a highly skilled Data Manager across direct and programmatic, who has experience in operating multiple and varied data platforms, and Ad Servers. You will be responsible for commercialising large volumes of inventory throughout the globe using smart and cutting edge and audience targeting solutions.
The Job
This role will support the data strategy, ensuring optimal setup of all audience targeting solutions and optimal flow between the DMP and all monetization platforms.
The Daily
• The delivery and optimization of audience targeted campaigns are optimised to perform and meet client goals and expectations and provide CNN with margin and profit – both programmatically and directly;
• Acting as the conduit between research and analytics teams to bridge the view data more holistically
• Occasionally acting as a data consultant to our key clients and agencies evangelising the data offering
• Driving the 3rd and 2nd party data strategy allowing us to targeting niche audiences throughout the globe
• Testing and integrating audience targeting solutions ensuring that the partners are set up for success
• You will also be required to build and manage data segments, giving feedback on performance of campaigns.
• Key performance metrics will focus on accuracy, margin / eCPM improvements, fill rate increase and operational efficiencies, thus being able to analyse large data sets from partner platforms and make timely business decisions is key to the role;

• Support the productisation of Turner audience targeting empowering the sale steams to liaise confidently with clients
• Working on Yield/ inventory analysis, working with our strategic planning group and Yield ex to get the most out of the data
• Day to Day Management of 3rd party data partners
The Essentials
• Proven experience working within the online advertising industry;
• Knowledge of using DMP technology or a good understanding of a DMP capabilities
• Commercial exposure to ensure understanding between ops efficiency and revenue generation.
• Excellent understanding of DFP and similar AdServing systems
• Working knowledge of Audience insight tools (Quantcast)
Desirable:
• Experience in working with 1st party data sets
• SQL knowledge desirable
• Good working knowledge of Privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)
• Understanding of unique users ID's and how they connect data across the ecosystem
• Enthusiastic worker that thrives in working in a cutting edge and fast past environment;
• Advanced Excel Skills;
• Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail, with the ability to analyse and extract information from a large dataset and interpret information to make business decisions.
