The Job
WarnerMedia Corporate seeks a Cultural Programs Executive Director for the Enterprise Inclusion division. The Executive Director will lead the development and implementation of WarnerMedia's talent development programs in the Canadian cultural sector, which are focused on fostering diverse Canadian talent – both above and below-the-line. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking executive with experience in talent development, organizational planning, tv & film development and production and has a demonstrated commitment to the advancement of diversity, gender parity and inclusion initiatives. The Executive Director is equally dedicated to engaging and energizing their team and cultivating transformative and sustainable relationships with key stakeholders in the Canadian cultural sector to build lasting and impactful opportunities, for both diverse Canadian Talent and for WarnerMedia.
This role requires extensive knowledge of the Canadian film, television & media landscape and its key stakeholders. This includes a strong familiarity with Talent - both established and emerging – specifically creatives from Canada's BIPOC, LGBTQ and francophone communities.

The Daily
• Work with WM Enterprise Inclusion team to design, develop and implement specific programs / initiatives that foster diverse Canadian writing, directing and below-the-line talent in tv, film & gaming and create tangible career and business opportunities for both Talent and WarnerMedia.
• Communicate with film and television productions about production assistant needs, working with and directing nonprofits that source potential candidates for programs, tracking candidate placements, communicating with candidates throughout their placements and beyond.
• Ensure alignment and integration of established priorities, strategic plans and commitments with all active programs / initiatives implemented in Canada.
• Assist in recruitment and hiring of Canadian Cultural Programs Team:
• Program Director
• Program Manager
• Program Assistant
• Provide strategic guidance and oversight to Canadian Cultural Programs team.
• Build relationships with cultural organizations / festivals, talent and key stakeholders.
• Oversee and execute media & publicity strategy in concert with WM's SVP Enterprise Inclusion, Comms & Marketing to ensure messaging remains in line with established D&I goals.
• Ensure all Canadian initiatives remain within budget and meet required deadlines.
• Oversee and assist in Talent recruitment and submissions review process.
The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree (B. A./B. S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
• 5 - 10 years tv / film / animation development and / or production experience.
• Canadian Citizenship or authorization to work within Canada.
• Demonstrated passion for diversity, gender parity and inclusion initiatives.
• Knowledge of US television and film development production processes.
• Knowledge of Gaming / Interactive sector (asset – not required).
• Ability to work across different functions and build relationships with stakeholders and champions.
• Experience designing programs and building a curriculum.
• Ability to clearly articulate and reinforce diversity and inclusion strategy as it relates to the Canadian cultural landscape and the company's business case for diversity.
• Forward-thinking, detailed-oriented, personable, excellent written, verbal, and relationship building skills.
• Ability to lead and direct efforts of remote team members.
• Ability to lead through influence and informal channels.
• Ability / flexibility to travel when necessary.
• Strong project management skills to handle complex projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work well under pressure, with proven time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and organize complex information.
• Ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of multiple facets of diversity: cultural, ethnic, racial, religious, gender, educational, age, sexual orientation, linguistic, professional, and other differences that make us unique.

Ces programmes visent à favoriser l'émergence de talents canadiens provenant de diverses origines, communautés et expériences.
Le/la candidat/candidate idéal(e) aura une solide compétence dans le domaine télévisuel et cinématographique canadien (en développement et production), ainsi qu'une expérience substantielle dans le développement/soutien artistique et dans la planification organisationnelle. Elle/Il est passionné par l'avancement de la diversité, la parité des genres et les initiatives d'inclusion. Elle/il sera également dédié(e) à encourager et dynamiser leur équipe et à cultiver des liens transformatrices et soutenables avec les principaux intervenants du secteur culturel canadien, afin de créer des opportunités pertinentes pour les divers talents canadiens ainsi que pour WarnerMedia.
Ce rôle nécessite une connaissance approfondie du paysage canadien du cinéma, de la télévision et des médias et de ses principaux intervenants. Cela inclus une forte connaissance des talents canadiens diversifiés - établis et émergents - en particulier ceux provenant des communautés BIPOC, LGBTQ et francophones.
