The Team
This year, Turner Sports and National Hockey League announced a seven-year multimedia rights agreement beginning with the 2021-22 season. Fans will be able to enjoy the Stanley Cup Final and Stanley Cup Playoffs on TNT and TBS for the first time, along with 72 regular season games and the NHL Winter Classic each season. With this new partnership, Turner Sports and Bleacher Report will continue to provide premium content across multiple screens for fans to enjoy.
Bleacher Report's Video Production and Technology team is looking to hire a Broadcast IT Engineer to assist in our busy studio production environment. This full time position will be assisting our production and technology team at our studios and control rooms in NYC.
The Daily
• Provides hardware and software support for mission critical computer and technical systems required for the broadcast of live and pre-taped control room and studio productions and events.
• Maintains on-air operations of server-based digital video and audio control systems, graphics, lighting and production systems and their associated software and hardware infrastructure, as well as maintenance, installation and design of traditional broadcast equipment.
• Troubleshoot and quickly resolve technical problems within a fast paced on-air environment.
• Interface with system users, technicians, engineers and other production/technology personnel to install, con?gure and debug broadcast applications and systems.
• Gather requirements, coordinate orders and installations with broadcast vendors.
• Report & escalate data connection issues.
• Works with telecom vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
The Essentials
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in IT or Broadcast Engineering - eld.
• Knowledge of network administration- routers/switches, subnetting, VLANs.
• Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Understanding of live production- both studio and remote with passion to improve broadcast operations.
• Experience documenting and maintaining con?guration and process information.
• Able to follow directions and think independently when required.
• Experience required with Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016 and Win7/8/10 operating systems and MacOS.
• Knowledgeable on industry cabling standards such as - ber, Coax, Cat5/6.
• Working knowledge of Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Linux.
• Knowledge of Audio, Video, Control Systems, RF, Fiber-Optics, and IP broadcast distribution systems preferred.
• Must be able to generate and update system documentation.
• Must be able to conform to WarnerMedia security policies, initiatives, and compliance reporting.
• Must be able to work calmly under extremely high pressure situations.
• Experience documenting and maintaining con?guration and process information.
• Able to follow directions and think independently when required.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
• Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other advanced technical degree or equivalent work experience desired.
