Overview:

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a high-performance team member needed to respond to RFPs, manage activations and produce content for Discovery Food websites, applications and other digital distribution methods as business dictates, as well as program owned and operated platforms. This position is integral to the success of Food Network and Cooking Channel’s digital strategy in support of incremental digital revenue and in support of on-brand culinary entertainment-based projects.
• This position reports to the Food Network Editorial Director.
• This person must work collaboratively with members of Food Network’s and Cooking Channel's digital programming, editorial teams, ad sales and video teams to ensure deadlines are met.
• This person must be agile, flexible and able to work in the food category primarily but with the ability to work in lifestyle and unscripted content and integrations as the business dictates.
• This person must develop and maintain an effective working relationship with global WBD teams (Video, Affiliate Sales, Search), Culinary Editors and the Food Network and Cooking Channel Programming teams as well as with other genre and category teams.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to RFPs, working closely with content marketing and IASM
• Act as the editorial lead on video projects, seeing content through from brainstorm to production to publication.
• Work collaboratively with sales, editorial and video teams to find solutions to advertisers’ needs.
• Work collaboratively with sales, editorial and content marketing teams to increase sellthrough rates.
• Brainstorm integrations for endemic and non-endemic advertisers.
• Monitor the marketplace for new trends and opportunities.
• Update externally-facing sales decks on a quarterly basis.
• Stay up-to-date on talent associated with WBD brands and talent and influencers outside of the brand.
• Update system documentation as needed. Track and report metrics on a regular basis.
• Write and produce recipe and cooking content, such as blog posts and photo galleries.
• Identify, write about and promote recipe and lifestyle trends, as well as pop culture.
• Write and edit copy to fit products and emerging platforms.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of web and mobile technologies, media production, web design, communication,integrated advertising and dissemination techniques and methods.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize large and diverse workload to meet deadlines.
• Initiative to work independently and proactively, and ability to assess and prioritize information.
• Strong writing skills, specifically to fit the voice of the overall brand/site strategy.
• Broad understanding of online recipe content and metadata strategies.
• Ability to manage and thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• Knowledge of primary research, writing, editing, and copy style.
• Ability to manage work of self and others.
• Advanced attention to detail.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
