The Job
Bleacher Report is looking for a driven and experienced Assistant Manager of Production & Edit Technology to join their Video Production & Technology team located in New York. This individual will assist in overseeing Bleacher Report's studio and post-production operation. The position will assist in managing a team of video editors and directors of photography and will act as a liaison between content groups and production.
The Daily
• Assists in overseeing the day-to-day post-production operation, including live studio and remote - eld shoot production
• Manages and assists in scheduling internal sta? of video editors and DPs
• Collaborates with content groups to plan and execute on creative vision
• Leads pre-production meetings with producers and project managers to ensure smooth and e?cient - eld shoots
• Ensures all pieces are delivered to quality and formats required
• Assists in outsourcing work to freelancers, including edit, sound design, and color
• Assists in project and budget tracking
• Recommends high level technical initiatives based on company work?ows
• Troubleshoots tech issues and escalates to proper support and tech teams
The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree in communications
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience required, 1 year of management experience a plus
• Extensive background in live studio production and - eld production
• Editing experience and strong knowledge of editing work?ows and technology required
• Experience with - eld camera operation, speci?cally with Sony FS7 and Sony A7S cameras
• Strong knowledge of MAM systems and VDI technology
• Pro?cient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Shooting experience a plus
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high pressure work environment
• Must have strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Awareness of Bleacher Report's voice and extensive knowledge of digital sports culture
