From conceptualizing and piloting new initiatives, to generating stakeholder buy-in and integrating those initiatives across the organization, the VP, Strategic Development is a hybrid role combining project management responsibilities with change management skills.
Here you'll get to:
• Partner with key stakeholders across the organization to identify and research new areas of opportunity for WMG, both internal and external
• Project manage pilot programs in those new areas of opportunity with a focus on evolving market conditions, scalability, and organizational compliance
• Identify and rally outside team leads to engender a sense of ownership around new business strategies in order to help integrate your operational recommendations
• Help establish a medium-term, actionable framework for the global evolution of WMG's business over the next 3-5 years
• Represent Strategic Development team to the Los Angeles office and our west coast partners
Preferred Expertise:
• Excellent analytical ability, written communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to easily pivot to and from ideas as they warrant; maintain an agile, flexible approach while being guided by fundamental strategic principles
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and process/infrastructure management
• Established record in applying innovative, analytical approaches to capturing new value within both existing and new business opportunities
• Proven ability as highly efficient project lead
Experience:
• Experience developing and integrating progressive, scaled business strategies
• Demonstrated executive presence and self-management ability

• Music industry experience not required, but media and strategy experience preferred
• 10 years of relevant work experience
