Job Title: VP Finance
Your role:
The VP, Finance will have a critical role in financial management of the business, while also gaining invaluable exposure to various departments within a music company. As a division with fewer than 100 employees, everyone at Warner Music Nashville is given the opportunity to get involved in special projects in a way not often found at large organizations. This role will be responsible for financial accounting and forecasting, internal reporting, maintaining controls policy, and developing a strong working relationship with people and departments across the entire Warner Music Group organization.
Here you'll get to:
• Collaborate with Co-Presidents to set and drive organizational vision and operational strategy
• Research revenue opportunities and economic trends identifying strategic opportunities to drive financial growth
• Measure and analyze current revenue streams, offerings, and relationships to optimize business growth and revenue strategy
• Implement financial procedures and organizational policies and programs to drive the company's operating capabilities to surpass the industry average
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis functions
• Responsible for strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows
• Analyze the company's financial strengths and weaknesses proposing corrective actions where appropriate
• Oversee deal analysis, business strategy, and strategy execution
• Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization
• Be responsible for policy compliance and internal controls
• Evaluate processes in order to reduce costs and improve effectiveness while being reactive to changes in business needs
• Build and maintain relationships with other professionals and organizations in the industry
• Manage a finance staff of 3 – 4 people.
• Special assignments as required
About you:
• 4-year college degree with a major in accounting, finance, business, or music business
• 7 – 10 + years in management within a record or other similar entertainment company.
• Experience with ERP accounting systems; specifically SAP, S4HANA, and/or HFM
• Strong business acumen & knowledge of general business practices
• Must be a self starter, self motivated, and take responsibility/ownership of tasks; must have the ability to proactively think outside the box, strategically an
