A little bit about our team:
The Global Strategy team is focused on building and scaling new revenue opportunities, distribution platforms and
global media capabilities for our Media and Content brands. This team plays a pivotal role in creating new and
exciting opportunities for the Media & Content Division of WMX and fulfilling on our commitment to innovation and
scale for our advertising partners.
Why this could be your next big break:
We're seeking a Senior leader in digital video business development to join our team to develop strategic initiatives
across our suite of media brands, platforms and products.
This will be a key member of the Strategy team - developing high-visibility partnerships with Digital video platforms,
advertising technologies and platform providers across the OTT/CTV and digital video ecosystems. This team
member will work across the Strategy team to assess global opportunities to bring our global catalogue of premium
video to new OTT/CTV platforms.
Here you'll get to:
• Lead negotiations with OTT/CTV platforms for WMX original channel placement
• Develop new business initiatives with OTT/CTV platforms, ad tech partners and networks for distribution
agreements and monetization deals.
• Work with Operations, Chief Revenue Officer and content teams for large-scale distribution deals that
maximize viewership, and revenue performance.
• Partner with WMX legal and finance to execute distribution and revenue deals
• Evaluate new partnership opportunities and manage the vetting of inbound business proposals and inquiries
• Work with the CSO & WMX legal team to define and refine partnership structures related to distribution,
content acquisition, technology, data-collection & sharing and revenue delivery / ad splits
• Manage day-to-day deal activity
• Negotiate agreements and build long-term relationships with partners
• Develop strategic recommendations to present to key stakeholders and articulate the value of key deal
points
• Foster business relationships with content owners, distribution partners, application developers, ad-tech and
other service providers to directly grow the WMX OTT/CTV video business.
• Prepare ongoing analysis of the competitive landscape and key industry trends and share key findings from
the marketplace
Rockstar candidates will have:
• A business development background within the digital video landscape creating deals with OTT/CTV
platforms.
• A track record of negotiating large-scale content distribution deals across Broadcast, OTT. and CTV
platforms.
• Experience in Global Content distribution agreements across Broadcast and digital video
• A track record negotiating AVOD/SVOD/TVOD deals across OTT & CTV
• A portfolio of AVOD best practices for FAST and owned application distribution
• Direct experience negotiating FAST channel distribution deals with major distribution platforms
• Strong experience in distribution/licensing deal-making for streaming media, pre
