About the opportunity with HipHopDX:
The position of Video Editor is tasked with the responsibility of editing HipHopDX's video products for our Video and Social departments. They are responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that ensures a story that flows effortlessly from beginning to end. All projects will be created based on our mission, content strategy, and will be suitable for broadcasting. You will have the opportunity to have your work viewed by millions of people on a weekly basis and truly impact the conversation within the Hip Hop space.

Here you'll get to:
• Produce, and edit compelling video content for HipHopDX's digital platforms.
• Produce daily videos for our HipHopDX News and weekly long-form original content.
• Edit multiple creative assignments from post-production through distribution.
• Evaluate efficiency of video products, suggesting and implementing improvements.
• Manage assigned project workflow and deadlines.
• Edit branded content with multiple deliverables for sponsors.
• Utilize extensive, historic HipHopDX archives and video library to tell stories.
• Utilize demonstrable technical, editorial and creative storytelling skills in editing, producing, and design.
• Working with graphic templates and insert into videos seamlessly.
• Designing video thumbnails using Adobe photoshop.
• Create the best video content possible in the time and budget given.
• Directly interface with partners, agencies, and internal stakeholders on projects.
• Create unique content for specific platforms (YouTube, Tik Tok, Twitter etc.)
• Participate in creative content ideation.
• Work collaboratively with video managers, script writers, motion graphics editors, interviewers and other video editors.
• Check in with the supervisor every morning to review projects for the day.
About you:
• 3 years of video editing experience.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and take creative direction from multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to think creatively.
• Have a strong passion for Hip Hop and music culture.
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines.
• Possess a strong work ethic, and positive attitude
