Job Title: Senior Manager, FP&A – Deal Analysis
A little bit about our team:
The broad FP&A group is responsible for providing financial and strategic support for all WMG segments (Corporate, Recorded Music, Music Publishing). The department will partner on a wide array of analysis across all divisions including deal analysis (i.e. A&R, Licensing, JV/Profit Share, Administration, M&A), operating performance/delivery tracking, market/competitive analysis, strategic opportunities and ad-hoc projects as needed.
Your role:
This position fulfills a unique role which focuses on supporting WMG's deal process from start to finish and involves but is not limited to analyzing and coordinating deals as part of the weekly deal approval process.
Here you'll get to:
• Work in partnership with FP&A colleagues and global affiliates to develop financial models and strategic assessments including ROI analysis for executive team for new and existing artists and writers, investments in new businesses and technologies, significant transactions and post mortem analyses
• Conduct Recorded Music and Music Publishing artist deal analysis and assist in establishing best practices and optimal deal structures at the affiliate levels
• Manage approval process for executive approval-level deals, including preparation and submission of transaction summaries
• Provide support for CEO/CFO, board presentations, deal commentaries, valuations, etc.
• Co-coordinate materials with all participants for weekly deal meetings and complete follow-up process
• Provide analyses and presentations for senior management to facilitate the corporate deal approval process
• Liaise with affiliates to provide process management support, including conducting deal analyses and preparing presentation materials and transaction summaries
• Interact with cross-functional groups to ensure progress through deal approval process
• Provide regular updates to senior management on status of ongoing deal analysis
• Periodically work with departments and business development to assist in assessing potential targets; conduct pre- and post-transaction M&A deal analyses and valuations
• Support the development and updates to performance dashboards and management reporting tools
About you:
• BA in Finance, Economics or Accounting
• 5-8 years of finance-related experience in corporate finance, consulting, business development, or other analytic role
