Job Description:
Job Title: Senior Director Portfolio Management
Reports To: SVP Global Project Management Organization
Department: Global Technology
Location: New York, NY

• The WMG Global Project Management Organization supports management of all technology-related functions across the globe – from project intake to successful delivery as well as portfolio management, vendor management and change management.
• We are responsible for the people, processes, & tools needed to provide competencies to the WMG Global Technology organization and its customers. As a unified Global Technology organization, we aim to be seen as leaders in planning, execution and delivery. Alongside with establishing & implementing best practices, maintaining standards related of portfolio, program, & project management, we strive to improve the consistency, effectiveness and costs of global program & project delivery and to drive strong benefits realization through strategic portfolio planning and delivery.
• This key senior role will report directly to SVP, Global Project Management Organization, and will be responsible for overseeing Global Portfolio Management function for all Warner Music Group technology initiatives.

• This individual will work closely with the Global Technology leadership team as well as the business stakeholders, will serve as a champion to the business ensuring a strong Global Technology commitment to provide innovating technology solutions and to create effective strategies to meet and exceed business needs.
• Develop team of highly skilled Portfolio Management and Business Relationship Management leaders within PMO that will be recognized as true business partners and solution providers for the organization.
Here you'll get to:
Strategic Planning and Business Relationship Management:
• Participate in business and Global Technology strategic planning. Help define Global Technology needs for WMG business units. Play a key role in developing GT strategy and plans in alignment with business needs. Promote innovative thinking and utilization of technology resources in the Business.
• Understand the workings and strategy of WMG Business as well as current technology trends. Leverage the knowledge and understanding of Global Technology organization infrastructure and technology capabilities in order to develop and maintain Portfolio Roadmap for the business units, anticipating their demand.
• Build strong relationship as a trusted business partner with key business executives and be a focal point for planning of all Global Technology initiatives. Offer alternate solutions to meet the Business needs and address the challenges (e.g. process changes); communicate Global Technology goals, activities and accomplishments to the Business.
Demand Management and Portfolio Management:
• Manage the overall Global Technology Portfolio. Own Intake Process and its governance, ensuring high degree of process effectiveness and communication to stakeholders. Includes creation and management of their respective business cases, ensuring that they deliver business value. Monitoring, and reviewing all project and program economics including costs, staffing requirements, resources, and risks at the Portfolio level.
• Oversee Portfolio Management process ensuring its effectiveness. Measure its performance through KPI, including analysis and reporting. Establish standards across all Global Portfolio Management functions.
Leadership and Budget Management:
• Develop the team to understand the Business as well as Global Technology capabilities across WMG. Create opportunities for development, motivate and cultivate a strong leadership capabilities within the team. Coach and mentor and create positive and supporting culture.
• Develop and manage Portfolio budgets. Work closely with Finance and Project Managers to track and forecast as well as develop other reporting materials on the regular basis.
• Focus on process improvement through strong leadership, interpersonal, and change management skills.
Qualifications
• Demonstrated senior management experience and expertise with at least 10 years of progressive portfolio management experience leading large-scale cross-functional and global programs and portfolios
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related discipline
• PMP certification
• Demonstrate a proven track record in leadership effectiveness, high-performance team building, with the emphasis on strong Business Relationship and Portfolio Management aspect.
• Excellent leadership skills coupled with relationship-building, collaborative and positive attitude
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal skills
• Capable influencer and collaborator across all levels with strong negotiation skills
