Job Description:
Warner Music Group's Creative Department at Atlantic Records is seeking a Senior Art Director to lead in building artist careers through the intersection of art, video, branding, music, digital, and technology. This role involves conceptualizing, creating, and managing artists' visual branding and identity across various platforms and media.
Job Responsibilities:
• Conceptualize and create the visual language for artists.
• Collaborate and brainstorm ideas with artists, management, marketing, digital strategist, publicity, international, streaming, and sales departments for artist branding and rollout.
• Discover, develop, and maintain relationships with creative talent including photographers, stylists, illustrators, and designers.
• Direct and manage creative talent on projects, including directing photo shoots for singles, albums, or press.
• Design and conceptualize logos and identity for artists as well as company marketing initiatives.
• Conceptualize and design front line packaging for retail and direct-to-consumer stores.
• Edit photo shoots and direct the retouching of images.
• Negotiate fees for photo shoots including photographers, stylists, make-up artists, prop stylists, and hair stylists.
• Oversee an individual roster while also working collaboratively on team projects.
• Participate in team meetings, weekly project updates, creative brainstorms, artist meetings, and department meetings.
• Use project management tools and asset management systems to keep all work collaborative and communicated daily.
