The Research Group is also responsible for managing the various internal systems used for rights administration across WMG's vast catalog.
Your role:

You'll work directly with Global Catalog Business Affairs and WMG label data teams to clarify key terms and help answer questions from all levels around the company.
Here you'll get to:
• Review chain of title documents and conduct music rights research in order to resolve rights inquiries using a variety of internal and external systems.
• Work with various WMG teams to apply research findings to resolve conflicting claims of rights at DSPs including SoundExchange and YouTube.
• Work with label attorneys and rights administration staff to confirm interpretations of contract language and apply standard contractual business practices.
About you:

• Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced business environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and music industry knowledge.
We'd love it if you also had:
• A passion for the intersection of music, business law, and technology.
• Previous experience with SalesForce or similar data management systems
• Familiar with the recorded music industry as well as related legal issues.
We're taking our time to review all resumes, and to find the best people for WMG.
Thanks for your interest in working for WMG.
We love it here, and think you will, too.
