The department is fast-paced, collaborative, and passionate about securing meaningful and impactful coverage, maximizing client visibility, and crafting effective awards strategy campaigns. The team is committed to providing a fresh perspective to departmental strategy and finding new ways to adapt to the evolving press landscape. The Press & Media Strategy Assistant is a vital backbone of this operation, providing essential support to the department's publicists.
Your role:
In this role, you will provide administrative support to our press and media strategy team, working across every facet of a publicity campaign. From drafting key press materials, compiling and disseminating press coverage, communicating with label and artist teams, scheduling meetings, and providing on-site event support, this role offers entry-level experience in music publicity at one of the top record labels. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented, quick thinker with a passion for music and PR strategy, this is your chance to contribute to campaigns for some of the industry's most dynamic artists in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
Here you'll get to:
• You will oversee and maintain departmental organization, ensuring all press materials, files, contact lists, event calendars, and digital assets are up to date and accessible
• You will compile and distribute key press materials, including coverage roundups, press releases, company media alerts, etc.
• You will schedule internal and external department meetings and coordinate event logistics for the press team
• You will arrange and process vendor invoices, expense reports, and departmental budget tracking with meticulous attention to detail
• You will provide administrative support as-needed for on-site publicity events (photo shoots, awards shows, on-site media activations, etc.)
• You will communicate and collaborate cross-functionally with other AMG departments and artist teams
About you:
• You are highly organized, process-oriented, and self-sufficient
• You have a strong attention to detail and consistently meet deadlines
• You have strong time management skills and can operate from a to-do list
• You are proficient in organizational tools (e.g., Google Suite, Airtable, etc.)
• You enjoy working collaboratively and can communicate well in team settings
• You are passionate about the music industry and publicity
We'd love it if you also had:
• Bachelor's Degree Required
• 1-2 years of relevant PR or administrative experience (including relevant internship experience)
• Knowledge of Google Suite platforms
• Experience using project management tools
We're taking our time to review all resumes, and to find the best people for WMG.
This position requires a minimum of 4 days per week in the office. We value in-office collaboration, which is essential for talent development and strong working relationships.
