UPROXX is looking for an experienced post production associate producer to join our award-winning studio team.

In this role, you will get to plan, budget and hire for our post production team here at Uproxx. Project by project, you'll collaborate with an expert team of production and post production staff to bring creative ideas to life. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to multitask, excellent time management skills, as well as a desire to push their own limits.
Here you'll get to:
• Own and grow an active roster of freelance editors, colorists, sound mixers.
• Supply freelance talent choices to each production project that meet the needs and criteria of that program. Work with Creative and Production departments to select the best choice and then book the freelance team.
• Manage freelance personnel and educate/enforce on our post bible and protocols.
• Review our existing documentation, then own, build, and revise upon post production bible and protocol per UPROXX best practices.
• Receive footage from productions and own the ingesting process into the company file structure for edit and archiving.
• Prepare projects for edit by syncing sound and video, organizing file structure, creating unique naming conventions for files, and pulling selects for the editor.
• Build and own the hard drive check-out service. Track down delinquent drives and generally maintain our fleet of external hard drives by keeping the tracking database updated.
• Chance to own and maintain company's data archive by ensuring duplicate assets for past and current projects. This archive includes the footage library, projects files, and associated assets for projects.
• Own freelance payroll via Entertainment Partners for the post production department. Receive and process paperwork/timecard info from freelancers ensuring company payroll on projects is timely and accurate. Then follow up with corrections and additional requests from the accounting department.
• Establish processes and project manage projects that are entirely post production based.
• DIT on the set of productions as needed.
• Assist in the edit process itself by creating rough cuts and following through on notes from client after the primary editor has wrapped.
• Investigate, understand and anticipate industry trends around gear and services for the post production department, find pricing, get quotes in order to provide the post production team with strategic insights into these trends to highlight potential issues and offer solutions.
Rockstar candidates will be able to:
• You have 3-5 years of experience in post production admin work
• Excellent technical skills and a command of all aspects of video production, including but not limited to, the adobe suite, color grading, compositing, editing, compression, format conversions, sound design, and production
• Ability to trouble shoot on the Mac Operating System and Adobe Suite
• Solid awareness of hardware specifications pertinent to Post Production
• Communication skills to help you work with various departments, multiple timelines/calendars and in a fast-paced environment.
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• College Degree preferred
• Networking/ Media Server Experience
• Strong After Effects knowledge, ability to composite
• Strong Data Management background
