
Photo Archive Coordinator

Your role: As a member of the Library Services team, you will have the opportunity to work with original artwork and photographs for some of the most influential artists of all time. Ranging from Jazz and Soul legends of the 1950's to the top artists of today, you will be one of the select few who partakes in the daily treasure hunt for images, artwork and archival content to be used in exciting new projects. This includes everything from reissues and boxed sets, documentaries, TV series, books and more.
Here you'll get to:
• Organize photography collections using archival best practices
• Rehouse slides, transparencies, film strips, and other media formats in new sleeves
• You will research and locate images and artwork, identify photographers, and provide photography agreements
• You will utilize flatbed and transparency scanners to digitize photos and artwork
• You will upload files and tag metadata in Digital Asset Management systems
• You will crop and edit images and apply basic retouching when needed
• You will organize, preserve, and catalog assets utilizing proper handling and archival storage procedures
• You will check-in and check-out physical assets and assist with retrieval and refile (may be required to lift up to 25lbs on a daily basis)
About you:
• You have experience operating professional flatbed scanners and software
• You have knowledge of digital image formats and specifications
• You are proficient with Photoshop and the Adobe Creative Suite
• You have experience with physical media formats used in professional photography
• You have knowledge of archival preservation practices and safe handling of physical media
• You enjoy research projects
• You are passionate about music history
• You have intermediate Excel proficiency including commonly used formulas
• You have proficiency with Mac and PC operating systems
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You have outstanding organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• You enjoy working both independently and in a team environment
We'd love it if you also had:
• A degree in Library Sciences or Fine Arts
• Experience working in an archive or library
• Music industry work experience
• Knowledge of Digital Asset Management systems
• Historical knowledge of WMG artists, Labels and executives

Salary/Benefits
$26.00
- 30.17
per hour
$26.00 - $30.17 /hour USD
The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs.
