Manager, WMG Sync Clearance
A little bit about our team:
The Visual Media Licensing department represents the recorded music rights and offers clients a comprehensive sync licensing service. They work to serve WMG's extensive catalog and the company's frontline recorded music labels by strategically developing new opportunities in film, TV, advertising, video games, and new media.
Your role:
Responsible for the fielding and negotiating of requests from sync clients for music uses in all areas of sync. Knowledge of the Warner Music Group catalog and front-line releases from the respective labels is imperative.
Here you'll get to:
• Coordinates and confers with company's internal departments as well as outside parties to include, but is not limited to, co-publishers, copyright owners, composers, their managers, and/or attorneys, regarding clearance, ownership, and financial procedures and fees.
• Manages and is responsible for handling both telephone and correspondence from parties requesting fee quotations and license requests for use of company products contained in the catalog.
• Performs research duties of the company's rights to songs and clears copyright provisions, songs, and may obtain permission for use.
• Negotiates fees to requesting parties as directed.
• Coordinates with individual principals in relation to legalities, fee structures, income and general operations related to video games or other programs.
• Maintains records such as logs, files, and deals.
• Review licenses within own specific area.
• Make suggestions for use of alternate songs in the company's catalog when clearances are not available for the original request.
• Attends meetings and conferences both within and outside the company relative to the department's operation.
• Handles and safeguards confidential and proprietary information.
About you:
• Effectively communicate internally and/or externally in a manner consistent with the company's Code of Conduct and core values.

• Read and understand materials and documents and have the ability to recognize and extract critical data.
• Perform all diverse physical tasks necessary to complete all the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.

• General computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis in knowledge of general business practices.

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to adhere to deadlines and execute on tasks and handle multiple, diverse assignments while producing quality work and being accountable.

Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing situations

• A baccalaureate degree with a major in music, business preferred.
• A minimum of three years of relevant sync clearance, quoting, negotiating experience
