The Manager of Business Affairs will play a crucial role in driving communications and streamlining the dealmaking across ADA. This role will have a direct supporting relationship to SVP of Business and Legal Affairs and Content Acquisition, will work closely with A&R, Legal and Finance departments, and will collaborate with several other teams and global ADA employees.
Here you'll get to:
• Manage deal flow across all active conversations, ensuring finance and label management teams have what they need to approve and onboard new clients
• Set pitch meetings with the wider team, distilling context internally and preparing decks as needed
• Produce reports and charts to research and track targets and competitive analyses
• Assist in deal structuring, gathering details of potential partner's business operations and information on available assets
• File and maintain security interests and manage advance payments
• Work with the finance teams on deal modelling, advising on comparable artists and growth trends
• Work with the business and legal affairs team throughout the drafting process, ensuring accurate deal terms and working through nuances on deal structures
• Cultivate a network of contacts within the independent music community, and make creative connections with a goal of bringing in incremental business
About you:
• You enjoy working in a fast paced work environment requiring strong multitasking skills, excellent time management, and an ability to prioritize your workload
• You are highly organized with a strong attention to detail and follow up, & are able to work in a team environment
• You have excellent interpersonal skills and are a strategic thinker who is results-oriented
• You are able to work under pressure, communicate effectively, and deliver on deadlines
• You have excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
• You are very experienced with Microsoft office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• You have the ability to track a large volume of deals, conversations, and partnerships, with the aim of achieving a mutually beneficial outcome for all
• You are a problem solver, with the ability to reach out the right people to work through roadblocks and accelerate timelines
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• A college degree, preferably in music business
• Interest in music business, particularly in the independent distribution space
• 4-6 previous years of experience in a relevant role in the music industry

Salary Range
$75,000 - $85,000 Annually
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
