Intern, Sales [Summer 2020]
Job Description:
A little bit about our team:
ADA is Warner Music Group's independent distribution arm which was created in 1993. We represent some of the best independent labels and are a full-service company that provides services including physical and digital global distribution, merchandise production and distribution, account management, digital marketing, radio, and more.
Why this could be your next big break:
This internship will be within ADA Sales on the physical sales & marketing team. What we do is deal with accounts & account management working with physical product – CD's, cassettes, and a whole lot of vinyl. We work with accounts in multiple ways such as providing marketing updates on new releases, advertising in-store & online, artist promotions, and doing exclusive vinyl products. Our team works in tandem with other departments such as Label Management, Artist Services, Operations, Account Management, Forecasting, and more. We're the people who help support that timeless feeling of dropping the needle on a brand-new vinyl record or popping a CD into your car stereo.
Here you'll get to:
• You will assist with account updates regarding new releases
• You will be in charge of promotional product and getting it to our internal team as well as important accounts
• You will help manage our internal tour schedule
• You will participate in weekly sales calls and be responsible for keeping the team informed on the contents of the meetings
• You will help traffic vinyl exclusives with multiple accounts and assist in bringing it all to fruition
Rockstar candidates will be able to:
• You have a passion for independent music and labels
• You have proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• You have knowledge of physical formats (Vinyl, CDs, Cassettes, etc.)
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You have great time management and organizational skills
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
Tip: If applicable, add 2-5 bullet points of preferred, but not required skill sets, education credentials, etc.
• Knowledge of independent record stores
• Knowledge of Nielsen Music Connect
