Intern, Digital & Account Management-Operational Initiatives [Summer 2020]
Job Description:
We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our innovative and highly sought-after 'Digital & Revenue Development' team at 'WEA'.
A little bit about our team:
Maximize WMG digital revenue and market share while ensuring operational rights management account efficiencies and executing our digital strategy.
Why this could be your next big break:
Individual will be responsible for the coordination of WMG's artist and label operational initiatives and activities globally across multiple rights management digital partners (ie: SoundCloud, YouTube, Facebook/Instagram, & Vevo).
Here you'll get to:
• Regular communication with all labels and global territory affiliates
• Manage linking/association of all profiles across SoundCloud, YouTube, Facebook & Instagram
• Manage invitations, permissions, and employee access to SoundCloud, YouTube, Facebook & Instagram
• Coordinate with production and labels to curb any release issues with YouTube, SoundCloud, FB & IG
• Regular monitoring and analysis of SoundCloud & Youtube profiles to ensure all content is monetized properly
• Working closely with the team utilizing our propriety app 'IRIS' to launch UGC campaigns, watermarks, thumbnails and other optimization activities
• Perform claiming tasks on official or user generated content as needed
• Monitor fingerprint files within partner rights management systems
• Assist labels with the removal of unauthorized user uploads and content protection activities
• Gain a firm understanding of fair use and copyright law
• Work closely with rights management partners and content owners to resolve ownership and claim disputes
• Work with Sales Analysis to generate, maintain, and distribute reports from rights management partners
• Maintain master list of Youtube channels in order to implement it's usage in various companywide initiatives
Rockstar candidates will be able to:
• Operate and have a general knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook and Calendar, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite)
• Pay attention to detail
• Be highly motivated with a strong interest in digital business
• Show refined interpersonal communication skills
• Process, retain and action information quickly
• Collaborate with a team while being self-motivated
• Quickly identify issues, recommend solutions and execute on the fly
• Ability to spot potential process or procedural problems and collaborate on new methods
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• Minimum of 1-3 years of digital music account experience, content management systems a plus
• Broad understanding of digital/mobile video experience, rights, and user activities and monetization
