Job Description:
Job Title: Assistant, Human Resources

You will shine with your strong customer service skills as you interact with all levels of employees to ensure positive relationships. You will learn about the various parts of the music industry. Our small but mighty team also offers the opportunity to participate in various HR Initiatives and projects.
Here you'll get to:
• Provide clerical and administrative support to the VP & Sr. Manager of HR, including screening and directing phone calls, processing expenses, maintaining all calendar items, coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements and travel itinerary
• Responsible for the day to day operations of the Human Resources department by processing incoming mail and correspondence, preparing outgoing mail, coordinating HR meetings, events and trainings and ensuring that the office is always fully equipped
• Provide HR support to our west coast music companies such as Warner Bros. Records, Rhino Records, ADA, WEA, and Corporate.
• Maintain employee and company files according to internal retention policies and all legal compliance requirements
• Serve as the first point of contact for all employee inquiries and properly direct concerns to appropriate parties to coordinate fast and effective resolutions
• Handle and safeguard confidential and proprietary information
• Update and maintain employee data (new hires, promotions, terminations, etc.) in our HRIS system, Workday.
• Prepare HR / Financial reporting documents as needed to support the business.
• Contribute to a seamless and exciting on-boarding experience for all new hires
• Be a part of honing a world-class HR experience for all employees
• Utilize your experience and expertise to improve processes & programs and ways of working
• Collaborate with the Talent, Comp & Benefits, & HR Ops teams on current & future HR activities & events.
Rockstar candidates have:
• Comprehensive PC experience, particularly with Microsoft Office
• Ideal candidate is able to foster great relationships in a diverse working environment
• A methodical, organized, detail-oriented, and thorough approach to work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Results-oriented, strong execution and follow up skills
• High organization, multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• A great ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Accountability, critical thinking skills, & confidence when presenting ideas
• High emotional intelligence, and exercise sound judgment when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• B.A. required
• 0 – 2 years relevant HR experience
• Experience with Workday is preferred
• A love for music
• Experience with California law is preferred
