Department Description:
The Sales & Marketing department works with our labels to implement and maximize both physical and digital sales goals and general awareness and visibility in the marketplace. Working with sales projections, marketing directives, sales programs and new release schedules, it provides support for the Shop accounts as well as both the Key and National Accounts. This position will be responsible for tasks related to our Label Services and Video sales departments.
High Level Job Description:
Prepare and relay all pertinent departmental tools and information to all levels of the Sales & Marketing organization. Assist in the communication and fulfillment of sales and marketing goals - both physical and digital, new product lines, supply chain management, product assortment, market share growth, operation efficiency, and profitability.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Assist Sr. Director, Label Services
• Compile sales & marketing Information and create reports for general account communication.
• Assemble feedback and create wrap-up reports for artist promotions and various project summaries.
• Order supplies and marketing materials for staff and accounts.
• Assist with collecting data and writing reports related to retail compliance activities.
• Support regional Label Service Reps as needed.
• Responsible for collecting photos and screenshots for various wrap-ups.
• Track event orders for artist appearances.
• Assist with management and communication of indie retail advertising process.
• Assist Director Video Sales, Sales and Marketing
• Assist with weekly New Release Order Tracking Report
• Update and maintain early Video New Release PowerPoint sheets
• Update and maintain early long-lead video release schedule
• Collect and maintain video title specialty data for Time Life & Word Films
• Complete monthly New Release video data set up grids & distribute to video accounts
• Work with Operations to maintain Longform Digital Status Log
• Pull Bi-weekly Anderson sales tracking
• Maintain Promotion & Advertising Log
• Supply accounts with artwork requests
• Shared Administrative
• Schedule and maintain weekly meeting schedule and calls and update as needed
• Process and place department promo orders
• Prepare T&E Reports
• Ship packages as needed
• Manage various day-to-day activities and assist others on an as-needed basis
Required Competencies/Skills:
• Superior verbal and written communication; fluent using all Microsoft products including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Creative; finds innovative responses to obstacles; shares new and unique ideas.
• Effective presentation skills in both small and large groups, with peers and superiors.
• Technology Fluent; Embraces, understands and adopts to fluid technology changes.
• Time Management; ability to maintain focus and manage multiple priority tasks simultaneously.
• Passion for music while not required is greatly appreciated.
Special Requirements/Preferences:
Prior experience in the Music Industry preferred and prior sales & marketing experience favored as well. Understands current music business challenges and is an active user of various modes of music access/delivery.
Education Required:
College degree preferred. Technical skills applicable to the job required.
