Alternative Distribution Alliance (''ADA'') is a worldwide service organization committed to independent artist and label development. As part of Warner Music Group, ADA gives the indie record labels and artists access to an unparalleled global distribution system and a dedicated team that provides a complete spectrum of marketing, merchandising, promotion, and music licensing services.
Why this could be your next big break:
The Coordinator will play a crucial role in driving A&R strategy and dealmaking across ADA. This role will have a direct supporting relationship to two members of the ADA executive team and will partner across several departments and global ADA team members.
Here you'll get to:
• Provide basic administrative support to the VP, A&R and Label Acquisition as well as the SVP, Business & Legal Affairs
• Coordinate and book business travel arrangements, including flights, hotel, & transportation
• Submit, track, & maintain travel and entertainment expense reports
• Manage domestic & international calendars, schedule meetings, arrange conference calls and travel, coordinate team meetings, order supplies, answer phones, manage sensitive documents, etc.
• Identify new, unsigned talent across DSPs, blogs, social media platforms, etc.
• Track and monitor growth of identified artists and labels
• Run weekly internal listening sessions to discuss
• Reach out to potential artist signings, gather information about their upcoming plans, and communicate ADA's services
• Set pitch meetings with the wider team, distilling context internally and preparing decks as needed
• Manage deal flow across all active conversations, ensuring finance and label management teams have what they need to approve and onboard new clients
• Facilitate and provide suggestions for creative collaborations across the roster
• Produce PowerPoint and Excel reports and charts to communicate deal strategy and track progress
• Maintain highly confidential and sensitive information
• Attend concerts, studio sessions and playbacks as needed
About you:
• You have a deep knowledge and passion for music styles and trends
• You have a strong network of creatives, artists, and managers
• You enjoy working in a fast paced work environment requiring strong multitasking skills, excellent time management, and an ability to prioritize your workload
• You are highly organized with a strong attention to detail and follow up, & are able to work in a team environment
• You have excellent interpersonal skills and are a strategic thinker who is results-oriented
• You are able to work under pressure, communicate effectively, and deliver on deadlines
• You have excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
• You have an ability to deliver on last-minute projects with tight deadlines
• You are very experienced with Microsoft office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• You have excellent verbal communication skills for telephone
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• College degree preferred
• 2-4 previous years of experience in an A&R role
