Job Description:
Department Description:
The publicity department develops and implements comprehensive media campaigns for Warner Bros. Records roster of superstar and developing artists.
High Level Job Description:
The publicity assistant/Coordinator will support the Executive Vice President, Communications & Media/head of the publicity department. The EVP is responsible for overseeing all aspects of press relations, artist publicity and company communications.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Support EVP PR efforts for all aspects of press and artist relations
• Support artist and corporate media activity
• Liaise with media, managers, partners and internal departments including marketing, promotion, digital, creative, commerce, international, etc.
• Proof and edit various written media materials including press releases, media alerts, bios, etc.
• Manage special press projects as needed
• Manage variety of press calendars and schedules
• Monitor, track and clip media coverage; create news updates
• Coordinate travel & appointments
• Coordinate special event
• Coordinate media interviews and tour press as needed
• Coordinate servicing of advanced music and press materials
• Maintain and update publicity database
• Serve as a high-energy and professional PR liaison
• General office support – Answer phones, field media calls, process department invoices, PO's, expenses, order office supplies, coordinate mailings, etc.
Required Competencies/Skills:
• Excellent organizational, communication and writing skills
• The ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced working environment
• 2-3 years music or entertainment PR experience preferred
Special Requirements/Preferences:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Adobe Photo Shop,Cision, Burrelle's, Filemaker Pro, FTP and Social Media
Education
Required/Preferred:
• College Degree Preferred
