Job Description:
We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our innovative and highly sought-after Radio Promotion team at Atlantic Records.
Job Title: Assistant, Pop, Rhythm, and Hot AC Promotion
A little bit about our team:
The radio promotion department at Atlantic Records focuses on securing airplay, promotional and marketing opportunities at radio stations. We explore all avenues via radio and its related media to greater expose and expand our artists' audience to contribute to the company-wide effort of promoting our artists and maximizing sales and streams. So whenever you turn on the radio and hear Ed Sheeran ''Perfect'', Cardi B ''I Like It'', Bruno Mars ''That's What I Like'', and Lizzo ''Truth Hurts'' or see that your favorite Atlantic artist is performing at Jingle Ball, that's the work of the promotion department!
Why this could be your next big break:
In this role you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative, project and research support to the Senior Vice President's of Pop, Rhythm, and Hot AC Radio Promotion. You will also work closely with a team of regional and national field staff to execute all promotional giveaways and fly-aways. This should be done in addition to working independently and following through on all assignments.
Here you'll get to:
• You will assist the Senior Vice President's of Pop, Rhythm, and Hot AC Radio Promotion with all administrative tasks including, but not limited to, heavy phones, daily schedule, business travel and expenses
• You will plan and coordinate promotions and contests such as fly-aways, meet & greets, on-air contests, etc.
• You will coordinate travel for direct reports, fly-away contest winners and radio programmers
• You will liaison between radio and artist management ensuring proper contracts and agreements are fulfilled for radio shows and appearances
• You will communicate with Artist Development department to ensure artist master calendar is updated with radio tours and performances and all details for events and promotions are consistent
• You will prepare daily and weekly Mediabase, BDS, Soundscan, Music Connect, and Shazam research and analysis reports of sales, streams and radio airplay for all formats
• You will correspond with the field staff and provide them with all needed promotional materials such as posters, download links, etc.
• You will create and update weekly add boards for the Pop, Rhythm, and Hot AC formats
• You will create email blasts via Adobe Photoshop, MailChimp and All Access used to service current singles to radio and staff
• You will order and restock department office supplies with current releases and essential back catalogue continuously
• You will maintain several databases consisting of staff, industry reporters, DJs, radio stations and other contacts using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
• You will ensure that music is uploaded into the Box account and properly encoded in Mediabase and BDS systems
• You will interview and hire interns for each semester to help the department
• You will complete special projects as needed (artist listening events, etc)

It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• Prior experience at record label through internship or full time work
• Prior experience in fast-paced, high energy environment
• Excellent computer skills, primarily Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Mediabase 24/7, Encore BDS, Music Connect, Concur, Soundscan, iTunes and MailChimp
• Internet and social media savvy
• 4-year college degree at an accredited college/university or relevant job experience
