Assistant Management Accountant, WMUKA little bit about our team:The WMUK Financial Planning team is responsible for all of the UK businesses budgeting, forecast modelling, performance management and financial reporting. Our team works predominantly with the record labels, but also alongside other areas of the business (eg. Commercial, Legal, HR, Production) to optimise business decision making and deliver the best possible financial results.Your role:Supporting the Senior Financial Planning Manager on record label financial reporting, budgeting and analysis. Provide ongoing business support to Parlophone and Warner Records UK label management, ensuring they can make fully informed financial decisions.Here you'll get to:
• Prepare regular A&R cash-flow model actualisation – including annotation and commentary on movements.
• Be responsible for the preparation and distribution of weekly streaming management reports for the labels.
• Assist in the preparation of month-end financials, including corresponding variance analysis and annotation of exceptional items, as well as preparing documentation for audit compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of label roster project P&Ls, development P&Ls and sub-label P&Ls.
• Prepare the actualisation of domestic & foreign licensing income ahead of forecasting/ budget updates.
• Prepare artist and label profit share and distribution accounting statements; including forecast updates, inter/co billing, and month-end financials.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and provide commentary for SOX audit compliance.
• Support the Financial Planning team with preparation of sales and spend reports.
• Assist the Senior Financial Planning Manager with ad-hoc financial analysis (eg. label management reports, revenue and cost analysis exercises, market trend analysis and KPI reporting).
• Undertake miscellaneous administrative duties (eg. setting up of new project codes, processing urgent payments etc.) and carry out all other ad-hoc duties as required within the overall Finance team and label management.About you:
• STEM/ Finance Graduate or CIMA/ ACCA Starter.
• Experience of a finance or accounting role desirable but not essential.
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to work through problems logically and with perspective.
• Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the business.We'd love it if you also had:
