Administrator, Royalties Job Description:
We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our innovative and highly sought-after
Royalties team.
A little bit about our team:
We are a global music publishing company, home to a wide array of legendary songwriters and a rich catalog of contemporary hits and influential standards. Here, you will be serving as the first point of contact on our Royalties Payable team. You will also be assisting the
Director, Royalties with the quarterly and semi-annual royalty distributions for the US and
Canada and the set-up of payee accounts in our internal systems.

You will be working at a major music publishing company, interacting with numerous departments (Finance, Legal and Copyright). Here, you'll help to provide a superior level of service to WCM clients who have created more than one million copyrights worldwide; serving as a key contact for royalties questions. You'll also be the go-to-person for questions about the WCM Client Portal. You'll develop a comprehensive understanding of royalties administration working on the some of the most iconic songs ever written.
Here you'll get to:
• Be the first point of contact for all client inquiries received through Royalties Hotline
and via email.
• Work as part of Royalties Payable team to coordinate and distribute quarterly and
semi-annual client statements for the US and Canada.
• Be involved with income research, preparing royalty adjustments and income reversals.
• Maintain royalty client accounts by researching and preparing related rate
corrections and adjustments.
• Update system to implement client changes on amended, expired or
co-administration deals.
• Participate in system testing and data cleansing.
• Handle special project as assigned by supervisor.
Rockstar candidates will be able to/have:
• A baccalaureate degree with a major in Business Management.
• 2-3 years of customer service experience with a focus in accounts payable, royalty statements, billing processes and analysis, or, a satisfactory equivalent of education, training and experience in related fields and/or educational disciplines, sufficient to qualify for the requirements of position.
• Handle and safeguard confidential and proprietary information.
• Effectively communicate internally and/or externally in a manner consistent with the company's Code of Conduct and core values.
• Come to work on time without restriction as to time commitment.
• Read and understand materials and documents and have the ability to recognize and extract critical data and information.
• Perform all diverse physical tasks necessary to complete all the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Work at and utilize all necessary functions of a computer in order to complete all the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
• General computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced emphases in Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of general business practices.
• Possess a strong work ethic.
• Strong organization skills and pay high attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
