Full Time Job
Department Description:
Creative department responsible for both finding and developing musical artists to sign as well as producing artists and driving creative content for all forms of media.
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
•
Manage calendar for A&R Executive, schedule meetings, provide timely reminders, avoid over-committing and keeping exec on track
•
Answer phones-managing phone list, returning certain calls
•
Coordinate album recording sessions and related travel on multiple projects at the same time schedule and coordinate writing sessions for multiple artist projects
•
Coordinate recording process from the writing stage through recording, mixing and mastering
•
Log and respond to demo submissions
•
Compile music onto CDs
•
Assemble all copy and credits for album releases
•
Correspond with producer managers, artist managers
•
Use online tools such as Mediabase, Soundscan, BDS, Shazam, Spotify, iTunes to research and analyze data on signed and unsigned artists.
•
Oversee remixes from creation to delivery
•
Liaise with A&R administration to coordinate delivery of mixes and masters as well as manage payment of invoices and studio sessions.
•
File content (audio and visual) as well as mail etc.
•
Coordinate all travel for A&R executive
•
Coordinate artist travel and artist showcases
•
Oversee general office supplies (office supplies, drinks, cd stock, etc.)
•
CD duplication
•
Organize and attend shows and showcases of both signed and unsigned artists
•
Review and critique demo submissions, mixes and masters with A&R exec
•
Help A&R exec assemble album sequence ideas
•
Other duties as assigned
•
Log, keep track of and liaise with A&R Exec regarding potential artists that are being considered to ensure they’re dealt with in a timely manner
Required Competencies/Skills:
•
Good typing and computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
•
Good verbal and written communication skills
Special Requirements/Preferences:
•
Strong understanding of recording, production and creative side of business
•
General knowledge of key industry players and familiarity with Pop/Rock Music
Education/Experience Required:
•
Two years of creative experience
•
Previous production coordination experience preferred
•
Some college experience
