The Job
Burbank Television Enterprises LLC seeks a Senior Writer/Producer for the WWTVM Creative Services On-Air department.
The Daily
• Conceptualizes, develops and supervises promotional presentational video/film projects, promos, presentations, commercials, EPKs and other video/audio marketing materials
• Reviews and screens all relevant material to determine basic structure, script and narration of presentation/promo
• Performs off-line edits and revisions of script to create rough version of finished project for approvals. Performs online edits, as needed
• Works with project manager to create schedules for graphic session times, booking talent, and directs and approves artwork to create elements needed for on-line sessions
• Directs sound mixers and audio technicians for all needed sound effects, music, narration
• Oversees other staff editor work – input on creative, conceptual, edit decisions & final delivery
• Researches and recommends emerging technologies and tools, production techniques, hardware and software upgrades
• Performs additional duties as assigned
The Essentials
• 5 years experience in every facet of video and film production and post-production.
• Must have ability to create and pitch marketing campaigns and budgets that accurately encompass work required.
• Previous experience directing producers, editors and support staff to perform at their highest abilities.
• Previous experience at a TV station or Network is a plus.
• Degree in Film, Video Production or Communications preferred.
• Advanced training in promotion and presentation, writing, video editing, video production, graphics, audio production, music editing, sound effects and voice over direction.
• Excellent directing skills.
• Must have superior knowledge of either AVID and Final Cut Pro experience.
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art video/film/graphics/audio production and post-production techniques and equipment. Must be both MAC and PC proficient.
