Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL) is a purpose built, state-of-the-art film and television studio offering one of the largest facilities in the UK. This 200-acre secure site has a half a million square feet of stage space, a back-lot tank, one of the largest heated underwater filming tanks in Europe and a 100 acre back-lot. It also owns Set-Lighting and Rigging - a rentals division, WB De Lane Lea - a post-production facility and Leavesden Park - a contemporary office complex. It is the only Hollywood owned studio of its calibre to be operated in the UK.
In addition to the studios, the site is also home to the award-winning visitor attraction, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter (Studio Tour). This is a behind-the-scenes walking tour and the only place in the world which features the authentic sets, costumes and props used in the Harry Potter film series. Visitors are invited to walk through the real Great Hall of Hogwarts, step onto the original Hogwarts Express, learn wand combat, ride a broomstick and taste Butterbeer.
Since opening in March 2012, the Studio Tour has welcomed over 10 million visitors. It operates on a pre-book only basis with a peak day accommodating 7000 visitors. The tour is open seven days a week with an events business that runs private corporate events in addition to evening events for consumers. The Studio is an ever evolving and growing visitor attraction, delivering a world class experience from the first point contact with our visitors to the last.
The Job
To assist the management, operation, and administration of events at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London and Warner Bros. On Location London – Harry Potter Photographic Exhibition to maximise revenue, convert sales opportunities and provide industry leading standards of customer service for visitors and clients. Meeting with clients and practical delivery of their events. Working in line with our company values and beliefs.
The Daily
• In conjunction with the Event Manager ensure that the preparation of all planners, rotas and schedules are up to date and that all events are appropriately staffed.
• With the Event Manager (and the Show Experience team), help to position Events at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London (WBSTL) and Warner Bros. On Location London – Harry Potter Photographic Exhibition as a world class business, and an integral part of services on offer.
• Deliver in conjunction with the Events Manager and the Show Experience team a calendar of Consumer and Private client events.
• Support the Event Manager to collate commercial data, market intelligence and feedback information on performance.
• Show innovation to generate new ideas for new income streams and business opportunities, collaborating and taking part in department idea and product development creative sessions.
• Supporting the Event Manager in the curation of Warner Bros. On Location London – Harry Potter Photographic Exhibition as a leading events venue in the London sector.
• Manage enquiries in a professional manner and meeting prospective clients and walk them through events at WBSTL and Warner Bros. On Location London – Harry Potter Photographic Exhibition, converting to sales opportunities.
• Ensure our sales targets are achieved by fully maximising all opportunities and managing the prospective and existing sales pipeline.
• Support margin growth through cost management and effective pricing
• Collate information and prepare reports ensuring accuracy, as well as monitoring and reviewing results to evolve processes accordingly.
• Ensure events are presented to the highest standard and develop awareness, guidelines and tools for maintaining presentation.
• Act as Building Controller during event activities, with responsibility for the site, the Health & Safety of the tour and it's guests, and activities during event operations.
• Support the team at WBSL as part of a duty management team (as part of a seven-day week rota including weekends and evenings).
• Support the service provided by the wider team, leading by example, to increase customer satisfaction, proactively taking steps to call out behaviour not in line with our company values, conversion, secondary spends, and average spend per head for each event visitor.
• Work with Event Manager and Head of Head ofsdsasdShow Experience to ensure that we have an inclusive team who value diversity. Leading by example by acting with integrity in all that we do.
The Essentials
• Experience of working within an events team or an events environment is essential.
• Administrative experience in a similar environment (typically the tourism, leisure or heritage industry).
• Experience of having worked in an environment where emphasis is placed on service, standards and commercial management.
• Demonstration of accuracy in written work.
• Interacts effectively with clients & staff, providing the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
• Problem solving across all areas on a daily basis.
• Proactively seeks out opportunities to increase sales.
• Communicates in a timely & effective manner to enhance operations.
• Able to prioritise workload and manage change.
• IT literate - experience of Microsoft Office Suite would be advantageous.
• Independently work as part of a team with a flexible approach.
Working Pattern
This role is full time (40 hours a week), working shifts. Due to the varied nature of a visitor attraction, regular weekend and evening work will be required. Because we never stand still, a high level of flexibility is required to suit the needs of the business. This can include working weekends, bank holidays, school holidays and late evenings, in rotation with other team members, in order to cover the Studio Tour and Warner Bros. On Location London – Harry Potter Photographic Exhibition.
