Warner Bros. is currently recruiting for a Capital Finance Manager to manage capital expenditure during the construction of the tour attraction. The purpose of this role is to financially track the budget, actual costs, commitments and estimates to complete associated with the construction of all show exhibits in the studio tour.
Project Finance Responsibilities:
• Production & review of all documentation to financially manage the overall programme budget
• Design and improvement of control processes as required
• Ensure project costs adhere to internal policies as well UK/US GAAP/Local Statutory Requirements
• Review and understand vendor contracts and translate into project forecast
• Ensure all actual costs are accurate and complete with reconciliation to SAP and Capital Budgeting System (CBS)
• Prepare Cash Flow forecasts and projections
• Prepare and post monthly accrual journals of costs incurred
• Working with the international tax teams to ensure optimal tax structuring
• Interfacing with international treasury teams to ensure availability and communication regarding funding. Will also be required to work with Treasury teams to facilitate currency hedge contracts
• Prepare periodic cost tracking reports as required ensuring all costs are accurately tracked
• Understanding budget risks from all lease agreements with local partners
• Produce ad-hoc project reports as required and ensuring reports are accurate, and easy to understand
• Ensure that all purchase orders and invoices are routed through multiple approval chains with correct back up
• Regular meetings with construction company, chartered surveyors, HR, show design teams, project management teams and ensuring that actual project costs are communicated with all
• Attend project meetings, updating financials as required and flag risk areas to senior management as appropriate
• Attend finance meetings and calls with senior management to explain the variances to project budget
• Manage all vendor payment and payroll processes for construction crew during the set build process
• Review all timesheets where applicable to ensure they are approved by the appropriate managers
• Ensure all payments to vendors are made in line with the contract payment terms
• Be willing and able to undertake all administrative and organizational efforts to enable the above projects to run smoothly
• Monthly cashflow forecasting for capital expenditure
• Other activities as required to enable the smooth running of the project
Skills
/Knowledge Required:
• US CPA, Chartered Accountant or equivalently qualified
• Preferred experience in Project / Construction sector
• Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of SAP
• Good working knowledge of lease accounting guidelines
• Manage own work, being proactive with internal /external stakeholders
• Build credibility and trust with the construction department and finance both in UK and US
• Strong organisation and delivery utilizing priorities & time management
• Professional, diplomatic, tenacious, confident & collaborative with all levels of staff
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and to produce accurate and reliable work on time
• Fluent in Japanese and English
