The Job
Avalanche, a division of WB Games Inc., seeks an Associate Writer for their Story department. Join the team working on the upcoming game, Hogwarts Legacy, a new open world, action RPG set in the Wizarding World.
The Daily
• Strong collaboration skills. Ability to work with a team of writers and designers to create intriguing narratives that fit the themes and style of our product
• Self-Starter who will work quickly to research brand specific details to ensure the authenticity of the writing
• An avid gamer who follows current gaming trends and understands how storytelling works in an interactive environment
• Good organizational skills. Ability to utilize their time wisely and managing their writing through multiple stages of development and iteration
• Receive feedback and modify work based on direction from both the internal team and franchise representatives
The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient storyteller and writer
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel a plus
• Strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of the game making process
• Ability to perform well under pressure and deliver work in a timely manner
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong belief in a Team-based approach
• Previous experience with Articy
• Facilitate recordings with design and cinematics teams
• Must be able to use a graphical interface to create branching dialogue scripts. Applicants should submit strong examples of storytelling
• 1 years of relevant game production experience
