Full Time Job
This Associate Manager's primary focus is in developing, supporting and executing against strategic communications plans for the WarnerMedia Technology & Operations division.
The Daily
• Provide PR support for WarnerMedia Technology & Operations, specifically supporting communications planning, strategy and execution for the senior leadership team.
• Assist in developing and executing technology narrative and thought leadership through blog development, proactive media outreach and coordination with the social media team.
• Build and continuously update media lists, develop relationships with reporters and conduct industry and competitive research.
• Support holistic communications efforts around industry events, including developing tactical plans, coordinating media briefings, developing briefing materials and leading coverage reporting and analyses.
• Manage speaking and awards program by identifying and vetting relevant industry conferences and awards; draft speaking proposals and awards abstracts.
• Partner closely with Employee Communications, Corporate Events, Corporate Social Media and WMTO internal committees.
The Essentials
• 4 years of experience working in Communications, Public Relations or related field. Experience with external communications and media relations in a related field is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field strongly preferred.
• Experience with executive communications and executive message development strongly preferred.
• Stays up to date on industry trends and able to stay ahead of the curve.
• Strategic thinker with a curiosity to learn new things and an ability to apply new skills.
• Must have excellent time management skills, including the ability to balance multiple projects and to meet deadlines.
• Must be tactful and resourceful in uncovering and resolving problems.
• Must be a team player, with the ability to adapt to a variety of situations and work effectively with stakeholders throughout the company.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently when needed.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
