What part will you play?
Warner Bros. Studio Facilities (WBSF), a cornerstone of Warner Bros., is seeking a talented professional to join the WBSF Finance team. The WBSF Finance department directs and oversees finance and accounting activities for the WBSF Burbank (US) and Leavesden (UK) facilities. The position supports the FP&A team with month-end/quarter-end financial reporting and analysis, annual fixed assets review and fixed assets capitalization and maintenance, P&L and Cash budgeting/forecasting, and various ad-hoc financial analyses.
Assist with month-end/quarter-end financial reporting and analysis, including generating and reconciling financial statements and other reports/schedules, uploading financial data from SAP to Access budget system and reconciling the data, researching general ledger transactions and initiating adjustments as needed, preparing analyses and variance explanations on actual operating performance vs. budget/forecast, performing balance sheet review/analysis, documenting and presenting to management variance analysis and explanations, reviewing and analyzing key performance indicators (KPI's), and performing other ad-hoc analysis as required.
Utilize SAP system in researching variances. Perform GAAP research as needed. Assist WBSF departments in using SAP and with accounting treatments, and help departments develop processes and procedures to track and analyze their financial results. Prepare Master Data Hub requests, follow up on progress, and review hierarchy to ensure completion. Monitor issues related to financial reporting system and assist with report enhancements, testing, and troubleshooting.
Assist with P&L and Cash Flow budgets/forecasts, including preparation of utility budgets, reconciliation of data between systems, preparation of financial schedules, and preparation and review of budget binders for senior management.
Prepare fixed asset capitalization and asset maintenance requests, and work with finance and operations teams to timely and properly capitalize assets when ready for use. Perform annual review of fixed assets and work with finance and operations teams to retire or write off assets no longer in use.
Perform GAAP research. Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed.
What do we require from you?
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration required.
CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
3+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting required.
Experience with Month-/Quarter-/Year-end close, budgeting/forecasting, general accounting, and financial analysis preferred.
The successful candidate will spend a significant portion of the day using the PC. Such software includes, but is not limited to:

MS PowerPoint (proficient)
