Business Unit Overview
Warner Bros. Studio Facilities (WBSF) oversees the physical operations of the historic 110-acre main lot in Burbank including its 30 soundstages and 20-acre backlot, as well as production-related services including costume, set-dressing, construction, set lighting, catering, transportation, photography and much more. The production site also hosts tours for consumers offering guests intimate views at the inner workings of thriving entertainment studios.
Warner Bros. Studio Facilities (''WBSF'') is looking for a Financial Analyst for the Post Production Services (''PPS'') department. This position is responsible for performing month-end and quarter-end close activities including but not limited to account reconciliations, analysis and posting accruals, completing month end schedules, and adherence to internal controls. This individual must be detail-oriented, proactive, and possess the ability to effectively partner with the business unit.
Track and analyze key accounts to ensure accurate and complete information for financial reporting.
Perform monthly revenue analysis and identify key drivers to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy.
Collaborate with operations to provide effective support related to business decisions. Responsible for identifying opportunities to improve the capabilities of the department, including systems applications, on an ongoing basis. Work to create efficiencies within the department, while providing accurate and timely reporting to the management team.
Analyze pipeline opportunities and prepare weekly revenue projections.
Research transactions, identify issues and provide recommendations to resolve and reduce reoccurrences.
What do we require from you?
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance preferred.
2-3 years' experience in an accounting/finance environment preferred.
Previous experience in entertainment industry preferred.
Advanced excel skills including pivot tables and v-lookups is preferred.
Must be proficient with finance/accounting concepts.
Technical activities include accessing Xytech and SAP systems and utilizing various software packages to provide, retrieve, update and analyze financial data.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Access required.
Experience with SAP and/or Xytech is preferred.
