Warner Bros. Consumer Products Inc. seeks a Strategy & Business Development MBA intern for the CP Finance team to assist with strategic planning and analysis. The MBA intern will help build/update strategic plans for CP lines of business and regions.
• Prepares strategic analysis and recommendations to help develop long-term divisional strategy and evaluate new business initiatives.
• Performs industry research and analysis, prepares business plans in conjunction with division management, assesses industry trends and competitive dynamics, and develops strategic company and industry overviews.
• Creates and presents findings and recommendations for CP senior management critical to the decision-making process.
• Assists with the forecasting of the competitive title process to ensure consistency across all territories in process, comp titles and methodology. Prepares analysis of any variances.
What do we require from you?
• Must be enrolled as an MBA student in a college or university and in good academic standing
• Concentration in either Business, Finance, Strategy or a directly related field of study.
• BA or BS degree required.
• Prior experience in a management consulting firm or a strategic role within a media/entertainment, consumer products company preferred.
• Must have experience working with a collection of data using Excel, Access, and other standard applications.
• Strong skill set in creating databases, templates, reporting mechanism, etc.
• Solid knowledge of PC/Mac, Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word) and database querying/reporting tools (such as Business Objects & MicroStrategy).
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of research methods and strategies preferred.
• Highly organized and self-directed; able to keep on an assigned track without supervision.
• Must display resourcefulness, enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity and self-motivation.
• Self-starter with high level of initiative/energy, conscientious with a strong sense of ownership.
• Passion and knowledge of Warner Bros. IP.
• Experience and/or interest in consumer products strongly preferred.
