The Job
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Manager, Immigration for the HR Services HR Core Services & Programs department. Position will manage and support US immigration services across all WarnerMedia Business units. Responsible for coordination of all aspects of employee immigration, including executive, HR and employee immigration consultation, vendor management and policy development and adherence.
The Daily
• Manages US immigration work visa administration to ensure compliance, tracks and reports status. Counsels, coordinates instructions to employees, HR, supervisors and executives on legal requirements related to non-immigrant and permanent residency employment issues.
• Ensures coordination with expiring visas and renewals. Prepares and signs required legal documentation packets for consulates and employees. Acts as liaison with outside immigration counsel on all inbound and outbound U.S. immigration matters. Creation and facilitation of immigration training for managers, HR and Talent Acquisition colleagues.
• Vendor management in coordination with Direct Supervisor and internal Legal Counsel. Processes filing fees check requests, attorney immigration invoices and reconciles relevant expenses. Coordinates and/or maintains required immigration files such as Public Access Files and PERM audit files.
• Participates in drafting and implementing immigration policies and procedures.
• Works with internal and external legal counsel on preparation/processes for managing government onsite and unplanned immigration related visits.
The Essentials
• College or University degree required.
• HR/US Immigration Certification preferred.
• Must have HR experience, preferably international HR experience.
• Must have experience in operations and administration.
• Compliance, training and customer service experience preferred.
• Extensive US Immigration experience required.
• Extensive US immigrant/non-immigrant knowledge base.
• Strong business and stakeholder partnering and consulting / interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to navigate complex matters with multiple stakeholders (business unit leaders, HR, employee and/or legal).
• Knowledge of state and federal employee compliance requirements.
• Strong aptitude for numbers, data and process analytical skills with an eye towards continuous improvement and implementation.
• Staff management, leadership skills, including performance management and motivation.
• Strong ability to communicate complex, difficult matters (both written and oral).
• Ability to address different issues quickly and make informed decisions.
• Long-term, strategic aptitude – possess ability to see bigger picture and act accordingly.
• Research, investigative and follow up skill.
• Dispute resolutions skills.
• MS Office, Access database knowledge.
• Workday preferred.
• Must be able to maintain confidential information.
