What part will you play?
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks an HR Administrator for the HR WBTV Production department. Position will provide administrative support to overall Human Resources operations for Warner Bros. Animation and Blue Ribbon Content.
• Responsible for on-boarding process and conducting New Hire Orientation sessions.
• Troubleshoots and resolves union production related issues based on interpretation and understanding of multiple collective bargaining agreements (Local 839, Local 700 and OPEIU).
• Functions as the liaison between Warner Bros. Animation employees and Local 839 Union regarding status slips (hired, promoted, termed); coordinates 401k contributions and info sessions; investigates discrepancies pertaining to pensionable hours with payroll; and resolves delinquent union fee issues.
• Collects and reviews timesheets for weekly employees and ensuring timely delivery to payroll for processing. Partners with payroll in resolving all paycheck issues.
• Assists with logistics for all WBA events (BBQ/Picture Day, Crew Lunches, Show & Tell, holiday celebrations, etc.
• Issues layoff notices and Conducts exit interviews.
• Prepares initial salary recommendations for production employees.
• Reviews and maintains freelance hire paperwork. Collaborates with Labor Relations to determine 'Motion Picture Participant' status for freelance employees engaged outside of Los Angeles jurisdiction.
• Process ID badges for all employees.
• Responsible for monitoring and updating vacation and sick time balances for Local 839 and Local 700 union employees. Ensures accurate annual vacation payouts for Local 839 employees.
• Provide general administrative support to Director of Human Resources.
• Handles time-off administration for non-exempt personnel and responsible for follow up with exempt personnel's monthly work record compliance.
• Responsible for the coordination and approval of Randstad temporary requests.
• Maintains dismissal pay log and requests dismissal payout for eligible Local 839 and Local 700 union employees.
• Researches and responds to employee inquiries regarding benefits and company policies.
• Conducts I-9 training and I-9 attestation for show personnel.
• Maintains recruitment inbox and share resumes with the appropriate productions.
• Ensures employee documents are transferred to the employee file room.
• Generate various reports including monthly employee roster utilizing Workday.
• Assists in the interpretation and administration of Human Resources policies and practices.
• Manages intern program.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
What do we require from you?
• Previous Human Resources experience preferred.
• BA degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
• Must have ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with individuals on all levels (in person, by email & by telephone).
• Must possess the ability to analyze situations, solve problems, and make reasonable judgments consistent with job duties and company policies.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have ability to speak in front of groups (in conducting presentations such as new employee orientation).
• Must be organized and have the ability to set-up and maintain files and create procedures as needed.
• Must have basic math, spelling and grammar skills.
• Must have knowledge of report and letter formats
• Familiarity with production population and payroll processes preferred.
• Familiarity with Workday and OTA systems strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Human Resources practices and Company policies strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with I-9 administration preferred.
• Strong phone presence preferred.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced, high volume, high pressure environment.
• Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to organize, prioritize and schedule work effectively.
