The VP, DC Global Brand and Franchises is responsible for leading DC brand marketing, marketing strategy, and brand activations globally. This role closely collaborates with WBD divisions and partners to bring these campaigns and activations to life. Supporting the SVP, DC Global Brand and Franchises, the VP will oversee all elements of DC brand marketing, and partner closely with the Director, DC Brand and Franchise on DC brand stewardship and guidelines. This role requires someone who is consumer obsessed, data-driven, creative, and an expert in premier WBD franchises, especially DC, including Batman and Superman. This person is a big thinker who can communicate vision, and an operator who excels at establishing the strategic marketing roadmap and activating the marketing plan to achieve strategic business and franchise goals.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Strategic Marketing Leadership and Brand Marketing Positioning: Guide the brand marketing positioning, platform, and campaigns by developing comprehensive global marketing strategies and plans for short- and long-term business growth ensuring that the marketing strategies align with the brand vision and positioning.
• Contributes to the long-range strategic franchise plans by developing compelling multi-channel marketing campaigns with audience targeting and engagement plans that can be optimized and measured all of which drive towards revenue and sustained annual growth across all lines of business (e.g. Consumer Products, streaming, games, etc.), and ultimately align with the larger WBD strategic goals and objectives.
• Lead DC brand platform and brand campaign work including leading agency engagement, partnering with marketing executives across WBD to ensure DC brand work is enterprise-wide and global in nature
• Global Steward – Develop marketing plans that resonate with global and local audiences working with regions and territories to ensure marketing approach is on strategy to deliver business, brand and audience targets efficiently and effectively.
• Engage in the measurement of franchise marketing initiatives, including collaborating with leadership to define KPIs in the short and long term
• Lead all franchise marketing efforts including annual campaigns, and key beats such as Batman Day or Superman Day
• Partner closely with the Franchise Digital team to bring franchise strategy and marketing to life with our fans across all digital platforms
• Partner closely with DC Comics digital team on DC CRM and other direct marketing efforts to engage with our fans
• Develops executive presentations that influence and rally the organization around a shared vision and strategic plan, summarizing key data, strategic business decisions and recommendations, and a roadmap to achieve franchise goals.
• Develop DC brand sizzles, brag and other marketing materials to be used both internally and externally to rally the enterprise around the DC brand and franchises strategy and vision.
• Engage with external stakeholders, in partnership with WBD divisions to grow the DC brand and franchises in the form of strategy, marketing or sales pitches, business development or other conversations
• Engages in governance of the canon, working closely with creative directors to ensure that story is at the heart of everything we do and develop.
• Leads projects and workstreams that engage Sr business and creative leaders across the enterprise to grow our Brands and Franchises
• Partner with the Director, DC Brand and Franchise to develop brand and franchise guidelines and frameworks.
• Oversees brand and franchise approvals, including providing feedback and solutions, to ensure that brand and franchise standards are upheld, equity built while also furthering the business.
• Manages integrated planning and brand processes for DC across the enterprise.
• Be a steward of the brand, ensuring brand excellence and consistency, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices across Divisions, Partners, and Territories, and driving synergies across the flywheel.
Qualifications & Experiences...
Work Experience
• Minimum of 10 years' experience working on a brand, marketing, analytics, and brand strategy
• Experience bringing content to life through product innovation and experiences
• Proven success in project management and execution required
• Expertise in brand campaign and marketing management for large scale global brands
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• 4 yr college degree required
• MBA or similar Master's desired
Knowledge/Skills
• Ability to ideate, lead, and launch marketing campaigns
• Ability to operate in a matrixed organization to drive change in all directions, across businesses and markets
• Ability to convert story and narrative to product and experiences
• Ability to think strategically in planning across consumer touchpoints
• Excellent project management, prioritization, and planning skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Proven track-record in communicating with all levels of staff, internal divisions and external stakeholders
• Very strong presentation skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, maturity and excellent judgment. Able to work effectively with senior level executives and influence at all levels of the organization.
• Proven track-record of managing workflow to meet tight deadlines while handling high volume of work. Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and productive demeanor
• High proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $167,020.00 - $310,180.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
