We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Repair Shop Lead to join our team. The Repair Shop Lead will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our repair shop, ensuring that all equipment is maintained and repaired in a timely manner to meet the needs of our clients. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Lead one repair technician, assigning tasks and overseeing their work. Train and provide guidance to repair technician to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their job effectively.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on lighting and grip equipment, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues. Order and maintain inventory of repair parts and supplies.
• Enter Repair tickets and maintain accurate records of equipment repairs and service history.
• Develop and implement processes to streamline repair procedures and maximize efficiency. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates on repair status and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist with pulling and returning orders.
Qualifications & Experience…
• 5+ years of experience in grip and set lighting equipment repair, preferably in the film or television industry
• 3+ years experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of lighting and grip equipment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more
• Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of repair tracking software preferred
• Forklift certification preferred
• Knowledge of RTPro Inventory Tracking System preferred
