Your New Role…
This Producer is responsible for guest segments, writing, and interview prep on the 9pm Show, and must pitch compelling and creative segment ideas on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong news background, with a knowledge of politics. They should be able to pitch interesting political and cultural voices and segments. We're looking for a producer with strong editorial judgment to help generate compelling and creative segment ideas, and will be responsible for selecting key video, soundbites, quotes, and other information to be used as production elements.
Your Role Accountabilities…
The Producer will work closely with other senior producers and management to ensure that direction of segments fit the show's mission and that copy is urgent. Must be able to produce segments under tight deadlines and pitch story & guest ideas. This producer must have the ability to craft hard-hitting segment questions based on thorough research.
Must be flexible and able to regularly work long hours, this role will require being onsite 5 days a week and work an extended schedule as the news cycle and deadlines require.
Qualifications
& Experience…
• 5+ years producing experience
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience
• Field production experience and control room experience are necessary
• Requires a creative thinker with the ability to find new and entertaining ways to present information, new angles to approach stories, and the organizational skills to bring it all together
• Strong writing skills and editorial judgment are a must
• Must have a strong news background, with a knowledge of politics

The Legal Bits…
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $94,500.00 - $175,500.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
