arner Bros. Discovery Sports represents WBD's portfolio of sports brands, channels and platforms. It collectively reaches 130 million people every month, engaging fans and broad audiences in more than 200 markets and in over 20 languages across all platforms where consumers are spending time -free-to-air TV, pay-TV, streaming, online and social.
We are now looking for an Olympics Campaign Manager to focus on planning, developing and delivering campaigns, initiatives and materials that support the Olympics marketing plan for WBD's OTT platforms and linear channels for various markets across Europe. Reporting to the Senior Manager Campaigns & Brand, you will be leading campaign executions to evolve and grow WBD's sports brands, with a focus on brand awareness and user acquisition strategies.
Please note: This is a fixed term contract, expiring in September 2024.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Support the Senior Olympics campaign manager to plan and deliver campaigns & initiatives promoting WBD's coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympics across 12+ European markets: this will involve B2C and B2B marketing campaigns to promote WBD's streaming products and linear services, as well as brand purpose campaigns
• Lead collaboration & co-ordination with internal cross functional teams (Creative, Brand, Growth Marketing, Legal, Rights, Local Marketing, Ad Sales, Comms, Product, Editorial, Content, Talent Management, Research & Insights,...)
• Manage Olympics marketing ambassador campaigns, supporting on negotiating and contracting talent, owing relationship management, coordinating production shoots, keeping the team up-to-date on emerging influencer trends and best practises
• Support Snr campaign manager to plan media strategy & manage media agencies, to translate central media strategy into locally relevant action plans, and to develop & finalise creative strategy & manage creative teams / agencies
• Be the voice of the OTT platforms customer, using qualitative and quantitative insights to substantiate feedback on creative ideas and media plans to ensure all communications drive greater brand engagement amongst our target audience
• Presentation of media & campaign strategies, internal and external
• Act as co-ordination point in production process across creative agency, internal creative team, media agency, internal media teams and local marketing teams
• Measure and report campaign performance and apply learnings to future campaigns
• Work alongside colleagues to continually benchmark our campaigns and seek new ways to differentiate and improve the activities we undertake, staying abreast of industry and competitor trends and all applicable ideas/concepts to identify relevant opportunities
Qualifications and Experience…
• Proven background in D2C marketing / campaign management
• Experience in managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment with the ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools quickly
• Team player with the ability to build, foster and nurture relationships with members of cross-functional teams and local markets, and able to collaborate with, manage & influence internal/ external stakeholders across multiple levels
• Demonstrating clear strategic thinking, able to build strategic narratives, experience presenting to Head of /Director level
• Active interest in entertainment and/or sports industries as well as in digital/ OTT content distribution
• Highly creative and persuasive, with the ability to use insight to back up thinking
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills in English (spoken and written), proficiency in another European language is a plus
