Manager of Animation Post Production | Warner Bros. Discovery
The Manager of Animation Post Production will support the overall post production operation of the division, working closely with the VP of Post Production to assist in the management and oversight of all internal sub-departments. The role involves maintaining processes, schedules, and communication between internal production teams and external vendors. Additionally, this position will troubleshoot issues, manage post production staff, and collaborate with individual production teams to ensure smooth operations.
Your Role Accountabilities:
• Manage internal post production content, ensuring audio and video elements are processed smoothly and on time
• Support day-to-day management of sub-teams within post production, ensuring clarity on duties, priorities, and schedules
• Collaborate with Producers and LPs to standardize post checkpoints, processes, schedules, and reviews
• Troubleshoot editorial and post issues, working with production teams to ensure timely and quality delivery
• Oversee post production requests, manage project billings, and provide data to finance teams
• Manage delivery schedules and reports, coordinating between production executives and the internal/external post IO team
• Provide supervision for special projects such as promos, trailers, short-form content, and screenings
• Assist with facility management tasks including security, equipment maintenance, and new hire onboarding
• Maintain and update documentation outlining post production processes, delivery specs, and protocols
• Create and maintain internal job codes and oversee file structures for post production assets
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, and services
Qualifications & Experience:
Work Experience:
• 5-8 years of experience in picture finishing, VFX, or television animation production
Education/Training:
• High School and College required
Knowledge/Skills:
• Proficiency in current post production techniques and technologies
• Familiarity with Smartsheets, MS Office, and industry-standard tools like Premiere, Avid, Resolve, Photoshop, After Effects, Storyboard Pro, and Harmony
• Strong technical knowledge of MacOS, Windows, Linux operating systems, and post production workflows
• Experience managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills
