Job Title: Mail Services Specialist
Location: Burbank, California
Responsibilities:
• Identify suspicious packages and follow proper procedures for handling
• Manage customer calls and inquiries, and coordinate delivery priorities
• Secure undelivered packages and ensure the department is locked and alarmed after hours
• Disarm alarm systems, prepare work environment, and manage x-ray equipment and tracking systems daily
• Check scanners, ensure functionality, and manage inbound package volumes
• Research undeliverable packages and process returns as needed
• Provide backup support for package delivery, obtaining signatures, and maintaining tracking data
• Monitor and ensure compliance with mail procedures at various locations
• Sort incoming packages, prioritize urgent deliveries, and resolve issues with mislabeled or undeliverable items
• Receive, x-ray, and maintain integrity of incoming packages and tracking data
• Coordinate repairs with Pitney Bowes as necessary
• Offer additional support for package security and accountable deliveries
Qualifications:
• High School Education (minimum)
• Customer service experience required
• Prior Mail Center or Courier delivery experience preferred
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom)
• Familiarity with Pitney Bowes Tracking system and handheld scanners
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Capable of making quick decisions under pressure
