
EMEA Media Strategy Manager, Streaming Services

Part of the EMEA Growth and Partner Marketing team, this role will play a key part in helping the team drive subscriber growth and revenues across our streaming services Max & Discovery+. This leadership role is responsible for leading efforts to define the strategy for our subscriber acquisition across the EMEA region. This role is crucial to delivering against our growth targets and will be responsible for managing the overall marketing budget, delivering the gross adds forecast, briefing the other EMEA marketing teams on budgets and targets, being accountable for our media acquisition strategy and coordinating the media planning process to deliver on our gross adds, Blended SAC (as % of lifetime value), ROAS and revenue targets.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about television, movies, entertainment, and digital marketing. They will have a strong understanding of D2C performance marketing and will be comfortable with data analytics, financial models and budgeting processes. This candidate will lead a team that believes in working fast, being accountable, collaborative and learning from mistakes. The role is highly cross functional and will require collaboration with a large number of teams on a global level including Data Science, Finance, In-house Media Buying, Creative and Go-to-market teams.
Your Role Accountabilities
• Lead biddable media planning and strategy; briefing global media team on budgets and reviewing media approach for key campaigns. An emphasis on leading media strategy for new market launches across EMEA, including market analyses, reach and frequency exercises and budget phasing.
• Manage the biddable marketing budget of +$100M across EMEA markets and be responsible for full funnel paid media strategy.
• Responsible for optimisation of the media spend across the region through media mix modeling, allocating budget based on media efficiency and incrementality at country, funnel and channel level.
• Accountable for the EMEA acquisition media strategy, working with the in-house biddable buying team on digital performance and planning and collaborating with the regional go-to-market teams for offline and local inventory performance and planning.
• Drive data-driven decisioning across the EMEA marketing team through evidence-based evaluation of marketing campaigns and initiatives with a focus on return on ad spend and cost per incremental gross adds KPIs.
• Manage day-to-day optimisation based on CSAC and CPIGA, interface to global buying team.
• Responsible for sports planning, with a focus on TNT sports in the UK.
• Work with local markets and the creative team to give guidance on creative delivery by platform.

Skills and Experience
• Solid performance marketing experience who thinks creatively and analytically to drive growth.
• Prior experiences in driving acquisition efforts or media strategy within fast-paced, direct to consumer, subscription environments that deliver results.
• Proven ability to manage significant budgets at scale and prioritise investment based on the commercial and financial context.
• Strong relationship management with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working in a multinational organisation and within a complex global matrix environment.
• Experience in having people manager responsibilities and manage a wide array of stakeholders.
