The Director, Digital Programming & Strategy leads content programming and publishing strategy across official social media and YouTube channels for the Animation franchise portfolio. This role drives the development and execution of holistic multi-platform channel strategies that reflect brand priorities, audience behaviors, and content performance insights. The Director also oversees franchise-aligned content calendars, supports the development of platform-native video formats, and manages vendor and platform relationships to ensure excellence in execution and drive innovation.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Develop and evolve channel strategies across Animation's social and YouTube platforms in partnership with VP, ensuring alignment with brand priorities, campaign beats, and audience engagement goals.
• Oversee cross-platform editorial calendars, publishing plans, and content mix recommendations across channels including Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry, and related IP.
• Define bespoke digital short-form content needs for Animation's social and YouTube channels and help guide ideation in partnership with internal Digital Content leads and external agency teams. Provide creative direction and input to ensure content aligns with platform best practices, audience interests, and franchise business goals.
• Use performance insights to guide strategic decision-making and continuously optimize channel programming and content strategy.
• Manage key relationships with creative agencies, vendors, and platform reps to unlock new formats, creative opportunities, and content partnerships.
• Guide and support junior team members, freelancers, and vendor teams responsible for channel-level execution and publishing.
• Stay current on trends in animation fandoms, platform formats, audience behavior, and social media innovation to identify growth opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience…
Work Experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in digital programming, social strategy, or digital content marketing required.
• Experience with animated IP and/or family and kids media strongly preferred.
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
Knowledge and Skills
• Deep understanding of social media platforms, publishing tools, and platform-specific storytelling strategies required.
• Strong editorial instincts and a track record of driving engagement through digital-first content required.
• Experience with YouTube channel strategy, content formats, metadata optimization, and programming frameworks required.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable programming decisions; self-serve proficiency with popular industry performance reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., Sprinklr, YouTube Analytics, Tableau) required.
• Experience managing teams, agencies, and external vendor partners required.
• Fluency in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication required.
• Familiarity with family and animation audiences and IP, including Looney Tunes and related brands strongly preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of 3rd party platform content testing and posting optimization tools and platform APIs strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of trends in kids content, fan engagement, and short-form video innovation strongly preferred.

• Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Must be able to collaborate across global time zones as needed.
• May be required to support early morning or evening publishing tied to global campaigns.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $112,000.00 - $208,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
