This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Our hit genre series-Siren and Marvel's Cloak & Dagger-portray young adults charting their own path under extraordinary circumstances.
Freeform's Marketing & Creative team develop all network, series and stunt marketing initiatives, from clutter busting creative, to groundbreaking experiential events, to record-breaking social media campaigns, and pioneering paid media campaigns. We do all of this with a deep grounding in strategy and research-based insights.
Responsibilities:
A day in the life…
The Freeform Marketing Strategy internship will immerse the intern in the broad world of Marketing & Creative with a focus on marketing strategy development, experiential & influencer campaign development and activation, and paid & owned media campaign development and execution. This internship will prime the intern for a career in consumer marketing & media (advertising), across any industry, but especially entertainment.
As our intern, you may:
• Contribute to the development & execution of experiential marketing events & influencer marketing campaigns
• Contribute to the development & execution of paid media (advertising) campaigns.
• Visit with our media agency to gain insights into their world across multiple clients (many marketers start at media agencies)
• Assist in the development of marketing strategy briefs
• Track competitive & consumer insights and prepare presentations for the wider team
• Develop & execute your own initiative(s).
• Attend cross-department and network meetings to learn how an entertainment company operates
• Meet with our colleagues across Marketing & Creative and other Freeform departments to gain insights into their day to day roles

Basic Qualifications:
What you bring to the role…
• Strong knowledge of and interest in Freeform content.
• Proven skills utilizing MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Interest in advertising/marketing.
• Interest in television and entertainment.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment; strong organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Required Education
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program
• At the time of the internship-undergraduate student entering their Junior or Senior year, or a recent graduate within six months of graduation.
Preferred Education
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred
Additional Information:
• The approximate dates of this internship are January through May/June 2020
• Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
• Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program.
• Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
