Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager - Finance that will serve as a key member of the Business Planning & Strategy group for Disney Channels. Working closely with VP and Director, you will take a prominent role in providing the highest level financial service to executive management and business partners across the company. The Senior Manager will lead preparation of forecasts, Annual Operating Plans and Five Year Plans and will have ownership of highly complex programming models. You will also have the opportunity to act as a change agent by improving and building upon existing financial planning processes and tools.
Responsibilities:
• Lead preparation of forecasts, Annual Operating Plans and Five Year Plans, including cause of change analysis and other deliverables for segment planning team
• Develop, enhance, update and/or maintain financial planning models and programming amortization models
• Serve as point person for functional teams on their forecast and budget-related activities
• Act as a key partner to VP and Director to identify, track and effectively communicate active risks and opportunities to budget
• Liaison between Disney Channel and DTCI on Disney transfer pricing, reporting, etc.
• Proactively engage in the development and growth of Finance team. Manage creation of any new models, templates and processes to ensure a high level of efficiency and automation of deliverables
• Create ad-hoc financial models, analyses and business plans in support of business initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of related experience; preferably in financial planning and analysis
• Strong analytical ability, including advanced financial modeling skills
• Able to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and tools
• Strong knowledge of advanced Excel and PowerPoint
• High proficiency with SAP and COGNOS preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superior ability to lead meetings and communicate complex information to senior executives
• Ability to develop relationships and collaborate with various business partners
• Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
• Intellectually curious, innovative and willing to challenge the status quo
• Passion for kids/family entertainment and the Disney brand a plus
Required Education
• B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA a plus
