Manager, Post-Production, Short Form, Freeform (WDT)
Job Summary:
Supervise and execute marketing and short form post-production for FREEFORM Marketing and Creative.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise post-production to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery within technical specifications and creative parameters:
• Provide leadership in the creative process between Programming Executives, Marketing and Creative, Production Companies and Post-production facilities by contributing to creative solutions, managing notes and interfacing with Technical and Broadcast Operations
• Ability to read, interpret and provide solutions on Quality Control reports. Facilitate quality control fixes between vendors and FREEFORM
• Maintain knowledge of network creative goals as well as Standards & Practices guidelines, in order to assist productions in successful compliance
• Route projects to Legal and S&P for notes and approvals
• Supervise Production companies in regard to:
• Post-production schedules and budgets
• Network Delivery requirements
• Wrap and Residual delivery requirements
• Music licensing, Stock Footage and Music clearances/rights
• Supervise Post-production scheduling and Facilities:
• Collaborate with Marketing and Creative in the design and management of systems and processes which support the efficient delivery of post-production elements to all platforms, departments and International territories
• Management and development of Coordinator, Post-Production
• Analyze and negotiate budgets submitted by post-production facilities
• Leverage volume of post-production work to negotiate cost effective rates
• Reconcile and process third party post billing
• Have practical experience and knowledge of Guild and Union agreements as they relate to Voice Over rates, bookings and working conditions
• As needed, create and manage post-production budgets and schedules to meet creative, financial and delivery requirements
• Supervise the administration of the Music Library agreements and Music Library catalog updates
• Stay current on new developments in technology to add value to the overall quality and efficiency of productions
• Manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
• Collaborate with Vice President, Production on the creation of production budgets for in-house projects
• Other Responsibilities as required and expected of a Post-Production Supervisor
Basic Qualifications:
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years experience in Post-Production having worked in one or more of the following areas:
• Network Marketing/On-air Promotions
• Production company specializing in Commercials, Interstitials or Digital/Social Media
• Post Production facility
• Experience managing the pre-production, production and post-production processes
• Employee management experience
• Technical knowledge of AVID, Premier, Final Cut, Finishing/online editing, Aftereffects, Photoshop, and Pro Tools
• Knowledge of broadcast technical specifications for linear and digital platforms
• Must have established contacts and rate knowledge for post-production vendors
• Ability to make presentations
• Ability to procure, present and apply information about the industry and emerging technologies, in order to further company goals
• Some knowledge of flash, CGI, stop-motion and traditional animation preferred
Skills:
• Proficiency in Media Resources Management programs (Salesforce m360 a plus), Movie Magic/EP Budgeting, ScheduALL, Xytech Mediapulse, Filemaker Pro based programs and Excel-based spreadsheets
• Expertise in all Microsoft Office programs
• Self-starter, takes initiative
• Direct and purposeful in all verbal and written communication
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Ability to work with various communication styles and creative viewpoints
• Approachable
• Organized and detail oriented
• Willing to take initiative and ownership of projects
• Understands the importance of training and development

Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in media related field or equivalent work experience
