Manager, Brand Development & Integrated Planning (Disney Junior)
Job Summary:
Based in Burbank, the Manager – Brand Development and Integrated Planning will manage the day-to-day execution of global franchise strategies for Disney Junior.
Responsibilities:
• Create and manage compelling sales presentation decks that adapt to the audience which may include retailers, licensees or internal executives.
• Interface with Disney Junior and Walt Disney Television Animation development and creative teams to evaluate and plan for new properties with franchise potential.
• Responsible for managing the pilot development process with the creative teams and manage franchise integration into the development process.
• Partner with Disney Parks, Experience, & Products, Retail, Licensee Marketing and Ad Sales activations for all franchise efforts.
• Create and maintain important communication documents such as fact sheets, product/asset timelines and research reports.
• Manage Intl Franchise Planning and Communications.
• Resident expert on the Disney Junior content, understanding every element from programming, ratings, sales stats, etc.
• Manage the Disney Consumer Products product approval process.
• Project manage key show/event presentations (Licensing Show, Sales Meeting, etc).
Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years' experience working in licensing, consumer products, brand management, promotions or retail.
• Strong keynote skills including the ability to conceptualize and construct compelling sales presentation for retailers or corporate executives.
• Polished presentation and public speaking skills – can confidently pitch the brand.
• Professional under pressure and confident presence in company of executives.
• Independent thinking with proven ability to drive projects from start to completion overcoming obstacles by influencing others to achieve goals.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the skill to work in a very fast paced, reactionary work environment with quick turnarounds and deadlines.
• Understanding of licensing, consumer products and retail businesses.
• Self-starter, driven to exceed expectations set by others.
• Adept at organizing and facilitating meetings.
• A passion for kid's entertainment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience managing television or entertainment properties.
• Proven results in working on brands or franchises.
• Knowledge of domestic or global kids TV business including ratings and research analysis.
• Experience selling franchises or products to retail, advertising, or entertainment companies.
• Proven understanding of home video, records, publishing or other related businesses on the marketing and product development side.
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Education
• MBA preferred
